To use the Builder Wheels, you will also need

• a spindle/spacer kit (item #119895)
• the Jumbo Stampin' Around Handle (item #103661) 
• triple cell cartridge (item #121206) if you want to used different colors with each Builder Wheel
• jumbo cartridge (item #103678) if you want to use the same colors

Keep in mind that the cartridges are uninked so you will need ink refills if you don't already have some on hand.  You can find ink refills on pages 165 - 169 in the Big Idea Book & Catalog.

OMG!  I decided to play with the one of the items that you can get free during our Sale-a-Bration promotion...the Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents Pack... and just couldn't stop!  I only used 1/2 of the pack and had made so many cards, I had to take a break.  On the card above, I also used some of the buttons from the Ribbon and Button Pack...another free Sale-a-Bration choice (as well as the all new and so fun Cupcake Punch found in our new Occasions Mini Catalog). The matching "thread" in the buttons is really strips of cardstock!  So much easier than trying to find a needle and thread.

 

I'm not sure if it's the operator or the camera but lately my photos are a bit blurry.  I know you can still get the idea but I'm not liking the results.  Maybe I need a photography lesson or two!

 

 

 

 

 

The sentiments in the birthday card at the top and this card both come from one of my new "favorite" sets called A Word for You.

Happy Valentine's Day

 

It's that time of the year when hearts abound and this card is no exception.  I made this card for my hubby for Valentine's Day.  I know it's not real fancy and frilly but he likes the simple cards the best.  In fact, he told me once when I was trying to make some masculine cards that I shouldn't add ribbon!!  WHAT???  I love our ribbon...I don't think I know how to make a card without it!  I'm hoping by using big, bold, black and white striped ribbon on his card, it will be an "acceptable" masculine choice.

 

I am really enjoying our new "Eat Cake" stamp set (Occasions Mini Catalog) and just laugh at the sayings included in the set.  I like the one I used in the project above..."All you need in life is a friend who has chocolates...I'm that friend".  But my favorite is actually a different stamp in the set that says "I would give up chocolate but I'm no QUITTER!"

Sale-a-Bration Samples

I have been having so much fun playing with my Free Sale-a-Bration items.  I can't make up my mind which free item is my favorite.  Check out the samples below and you'll see why!

  SWEET SUMMER

The card top left is one of my favorites using the Sweet Summer stamp set.  I love this layout and have used it on several of my cards lately.  I just change out the color of the card stock and designer paper, change the main image and voila...a new card!

           

 

 

 

The card to the right is one of the cards we made at this month's Stampers Club.  It uses white craft ink and blender pens to color in the flowers.

 

 

The Tangerine Tango and Tempting Turquoise color combo was really eye catching in this card.  I also had fun stamping matching envelopes to accompany my cards.

I made a few more samples using this stamp set but the pics turned out a bit blurry...I think it may be a little late at night to be working on my blog posts but didn't want to delay any longer showing you some of the free items you can get with a $50 purchase during our Sale-a-Bration promotion.  Don't forget it ends on March 31st.  You can get free sets for hosting a $300 workshop as well so call me to book a date and invite your friends over for some fun!

Would you like to know which free item is the most popular?  Well Punch Bunch has the #1 spot on the charts!  Punch Bunch consists of 5 stamps that coordinate with our punches.  It is available in both wood mount and clear mount.  The card on the left highlights the Small Tag Punch and the "welcome baby" stamp from the set. 

I also love the Tulip Embossing Folder that was used to create the border on this card.  This was a card I received at Leadership Conference through a swap.  (I made a card and gave it to someone who then gave me this card in return.)

 

 

 

Isn't this the cutest little owl ever??  The best part about him is he is so easy to add to your projects because the stamp has a coordinating punch.  The 1" circle punch also matches the "true friend" stamp on this project.  (Sorry it's a little blurry...I told you it was too late to try working on my blog posts!) 

This project is the perfect gift for a teacher, co-worker or friend...it contains a small bottle of hand sanitizer from Bath & Body!  It's quite simple to make too.  Cut a strip of card stock 2" x 11".  Score it at 1/2", 1 1/2", 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 8" and 9".  Punch a 3/4" circle in between the 2nd and 3rd score marks and insert the bottle cap through the hole.  Then wrap the card stock around the bottle and assemble with Sticky Strip.  Embellish using the FREE Punch Bunch stamp set and Designer Paper of your choice.

Greeting Card Kids

This was a quick Thank You card we made at Stampers Club this month.  When you are in need of a "5-minute and out -the-door" card, this is the one for you.

 

The smal tag is made using the Napking Ring from the Table Setting die and the Big Shot machine.  The inside is the same napking ring just trimmed to make it fit inside. 

The tag is mounted on Early Espresso and More Mustard card stock layers that do not open.

This card is one of the make and takes that my customers made when they attended a Ladies Night Out with friends.

Days of Gratitude

When I attended the Regional Meeting sponsored by Stampin' Up in Baltimore, Maryland this year, I received the Day of Gratitude stamp set free.  As part of the event, we were given materials to make several projects using this stamp set.  I promised you a few days ago that I would post them and I'm making good on that promise so here they are...

The first was an 8 1/2" x 11" scrapbook page...large photo is not so good but the details came out great...go figure??

       

 

This was a quick and easy card...great when you have a need for a card in a hurry.  Detail on the tag doesn't show up well in this photo but the two tiny pearls on each side of the sentiment really added the bling to make this card special.

The envelope was stamped with a matching image and the card was wrapped with Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon. 
 

  

This was my favorite make and take of the day.  I love how each small square was stamped with a different image and the paper piercing added texture..even though I added it to the wrong side of the paper...don't tell anyone! 

The colors of cardstock and ink used in these samples are Cajun Craze, Old Olive and More Mustard.

It's Turkey Time!

It's that time of the year when families and friends get ready to gather together and celebrate Thanksgiving.  If you have guests coming to your home this year, you will love what I have planned to help you set your dining room table. 

 

  The Napkin Ring and coordinating Rosette, the Place Card and the Thank You tag were all made using the Table Setting die (#116819 - pg 208) and the Big Shot die cut machine (#113439 - pg 204).

 

The tag was made using the Day of Gratitude stamp set (#120835 wood or #121148 clear) in the Holiday mini catalog on page 12.  This stamp set includes 7 stamps and is especially ideal for Fall cards but can also be used all year for Thank You cards.  The ink color used is Cajun Craze...beautiful and rich...coordinates well with More Mustard and Old Olive.  The Designer Paper used is Autumn Spice (#120808 - pg 13 Holiday Mini) which is a double sided heavy-weight cardstock making it perfect for creating those beautiful 3-D items.

 

The "thank U" stamp is from the Petal Card Punch Level 2 Hostess Exclusive stamp set found on page 13 of the Idea Book & Catalog.  This set contains 9 small stamps specifically designed to be used with the Petal Card Punch found on page 202.  If you would like to earn this stamp set for free, just give me a call and let's set up a Ladies Night Out.  You invite the friends...I bring the fun!

 

The element on the right side of this card is actually the napkin ring folded in half!!  When you untie the ribbon and open the flap, it reveals a special message for the guest.  The punch used on this card is the new Decorative Label punch found on page 25 of the Holiday Mini catalog.

Fall is in the Air

 

 

 

Fall is definately in the air this week (in Maryland that is!).  The temperatures have been a little cooler, the breeze a little bolder and the leaves on the trees are beginning to change colors.  I love it when the leaves on the oak trees change...they are just beautiful.

This year one of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday Mini catalog is French Foliage.  It reminds me of when I was a little girl...I would put a leaf under a piece of paper and then scribble over it with crayon.  All the little veins and the outline of the leaf would magically appear on the paper.  The French Foliage stamp set contains six stamps and is very affordable.  The wood mount (#120845) is $19.95 and the clear mount (#121166) is just $14.95.  How can I resist?

Totally Techniques Class

One of the monthly classes on my calender is the Totally Techniques class.  One of the cards for the month of September featured the Punched Art technique.  With this technique, we made the Lamp Post card using Stampin' Up! punches, the Lovely as a Tree and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, the Merry Details Sizzlet, White Taffeta ribbon, dimensionals and brads.  I cased this card from another very talented demonstrator but not sure now who that was (so if it was you, let me know if you'd like credit).

If you are interested in attending an upcoming Totally Techniques class, shoot me an email.  In each class, you will make two cards using two new techniques and will receive a 6" x 6" Technique Reference card to keep for future use.
