Stampin' Up! made a sad announcement that they are discontinuing the My Digital Studio line on June 2, 2015. Below you will find frequently asked questions.
One important part of the announcement is that the Digital Download Manager will no longer be available after June 9, 2015. So, Stampin' Up! recommends that you download and back up each of your Digital Downloads before that date.
There are dozens of different ways to back up computer files, but the principle is essentially that you want to make a duplicate of the file in a secure location. You could store a copy of your files:
- on CDs or DVDs
- on an external hard drive, flash drive, or other portable memory device
- on cloud services, like Google Drive, DropBox, Carbonite, or any other online backup provider
I know that some of you already back up your Digital Downloads, but others will not be familiar with the process. There is a discussion on www.mydigitalstudio.net for people to share best practices and tips about backing up Digital Downloads.
*Updated to reflect the new dates:
- Products in the My Digital Studio line will be available until the end of the Retired List promotion on June 2, 2015.
- The Digital Download Manager will be available until June 9, 2015.
I also found an awesome blog with explicit directions and videos that will be very helpful in this process. CLICK HERE to check it out.
