I needed a Thanksgiving card to share with the ladies in my Stampers Club and didn't have a current stamp set so I decided to come up with some punch art. I started with the Owl Punch Builder and simply cut off the ears to use as the body.
The Pansy punch was sitting on my work table left from a previous project so I started playing with it and came up with turkey feathers. I punched one pansy, cut it into 4 equal parts and started placing them behind the body. I used the heart from the Owl Builder punch for the wattle and hand cut a small triangle for the beak. I just had to add "googly eyes" to give him some character. Isn't he cute?
I made the "Happy Turkey Day" sentiment on My Digital Studio because I wanted the wording to match the personality of the card and Happy Thanksgiving just didn't seem like the right words.
I embossed the background with the Fancy Fan embossing folder, added a strip of Crushed Curry and a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon to finish it off. Hope you like it. Would love to hear from you if you want to leave a comment.
P.S. I added a video showing how I made this card posted HERE.
