Stampers Club Christmas Projects

 

This little gift bag was so fun to make.  I used the single Snowglobe stamp, snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes, Top Note Big Shot die, Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol to spray (doesn't show up well in photo), Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive markers, Dazzling Diamonds, Early Espresso ink and cardstock, Crumb Cake cardstock, and sponges. 

 

 

In this project, I used the Finial Press embossing folder, brayer, Cherry Cobbler ink and cardstock, Very Vanilla cardstock,  Curly Label Big Shot die with the Holiday Windows, small pearl jewel, Chantilly Lace and Deck the Halls Designer Fabric.  On the inside, the card is stamped with Peace on Earth using the Level 2 Hostess exclusive stamp set Peaceful Seasons.   
This project is so fun to make.  It uses the Matchbox Big Shot die, the Snowflake, 3/4" circle and Wide Oval punches.  I stamped and sponged the greeting in Baja Breeze.  The sentiment is from Grateful Greetings and the designs on the center of the snowflakes is from the Delightful Decorations stamp set.  The Designer Paper is Candy Cane and the cardstock is Real Red, Whisper White and Garde Green.  The wrapper was made freehand and trimmed with the Scallop Border punch.  I also added a small jewel to the center of one of the snowflakes.

 This is what the inside of the box looks like.  I thought it would be fun to fill it with different Christmas tags but as you can see, the boxes aren't filled yet. 

The small boxes are made with the just the box portion of the Matchbox die.  The drawer pulls were some retired brads I had but you could use any brad of your choice.

I was determined to come up with a method to use the Heart Treat Cups on a card with a "slider" so the recipient could get the candy out without damaging the card.  It took me awhile but I finally solved the dilemna of placing the heart at the top of the layers of cardstock to make it happen.

Designer Mini Ornaments

 
 
  
  

This past week, my Stampers Club ladies enjoyed a Christmas party where we exchanged gifts, enjoyed some delicious snacks and learned how to make 2 Christmas cards and a cute little gift bag.

Before the ladies arrived, I went to work decorating the house.  One of my favorite projects was this miniature tree with ornaments made using Stampin' Up embellishments.  Mrs. Santa Claus Build a Bear liked it too!  See if you can guess the embellishments I used to create the decorations.

Do you see where I used the Snowflake Punch in this cute Snowman ornament?  I love the Red/White gingham ribbon for  
  his scarf!

 

The Dove is really sparkly with Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  This ornament was easy to make using the Movers & Shapers die.

 
 

Just add your favorite Designer Paper to our clear buttons!

The snowflake punch made several of these 3-D mini ornaments quick and easy.   

This was one of my favorites to make. I used my Snowflake Punch with SODA CANS for the backing and Designer Hardware and Christmas Cocoa Designer Paper for the center.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the little bear in the Under the Stars stamp set.  The set is all about camping and even includes mosquitos...if you've ever been camping, you'll know that Stampin' Up was "spot on" when they included the mosquito stamp in the set.  It also has a matching wheel.

Here is a fun project perfect for Fall or any season when you can enjoy Somemores over an open campfire.  Don't like to camp?  No problem, just stick them in the microwave. 

My mother, who turned 92 this past July, was here visiting when my Stampers Club girls were making these tasty treats and I found out...much to my dismay...that she had never had a somemore!!  If you are one of those individuals...here is the recipe:

Two graham crackers, One Hershey chocolate bar and One roasted marshmallow.  Make a sandwich with the graham crackers and layer the chocolate and hot roasted marshmallow inside...ENJOY!

Ink: Black

Accessories: Dimensionals, Cello bag, Round Tab punch

Technique: Bleaching (Stars and marshmallows)

 Here is one of the projects my Stampers Club girls enjoyed making for the month of September.  I had used the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set in numerous other projects we had made in the past and one of the girls (Hi Kim!) always said "I wish Stampin' Up! would make a punch for these butterflies so we didn't have to cut them all out."   Kim...Stampin' Up has granted your wishes...we now have a Butterfly punch and I, too, love how quick and easy it is now to use the butterflies in this set.

Paper:  Cottage Wall DSP, Pale Plum, Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock

Ink:  Old Olive (stamped off once), Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black

Accessories:  Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon, Butterfly punch

An Alligator Swallowed My Hand

Well the alligator didn't really swallow my hand but I had to have some really good reason as to why I haven't posted on my blog for so long and I thought that would get your attention.  LOL!!

My husband and I went to visit our son and 3 yr old granddaughter in Sweden.  We have been back for a month but between having company and other commitments, I kept putting the blog on the back burner.  So today I'm going to try to make up for my long absence. 

First, please indulge me while I brag on my little granddaughter by posting one photo...I can't resist.  She's a happy little girl and I already miss her sooooo much.

This card was made with the Diamond Dust Technique.  The Bermuda Bay ribbon is from the new In Color Polka Dot Collection.  It was attached with one of the clips from our Clip Collection.  The stamp set is For All You Do and I also used a Texturz Plate to create the dry embossing on the background.

To recreate the Diamond Dust technique, stamp the image on cardstock.  Cover the entire image with Versamark. Sprinkle with Iridescent Embossing Powder and emboss with heat tool.

 

This was a fun card to make but I am not the original creator.  I saw this card on someone's blog and the first thing I thought when I saw the black dots was "I didn't know we had a polka dot stamp."    Then I realized we don't...can you guess how they were created??  The stamp set used in this card is Eastern Blooms but the stem came from a different set...I think For All You Do if I remember right but you can use any stem to recreate.

Stampers Club Swap

 

The ladies in my Stampers Club have been enjoying one of the favorite activities of cardmakers...swapping.  Swapping is where each person in the club will make several identical cards and exchange them with other ladies in the group.  This card was a recent Valentine card made by Dawn Cordrey.  The supplies she has used is Riding Hood Red, Regal Rose and Very Vanilla cardstock, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip Classic ink,  the Scallop Punch, Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon, Heart Punch, Love You Much stamp set, the Big Shot Sizzix scallop envelope die and Candy Lane Designer Paper.

Finders Keepers Campaign

I would like to announce that I am having a "Finders Keepers" Campaign during the month of November.  As a Finder Keeper, you will receive (keep) $15 for each person that you refer to me (find) who joins the Monday or Friday Stampers Club during the month of November.

 

If you join my Stampers Club just because you read this post but no one referred you, you will receive $15 in free product when it is your month to host the club meeting. 

 

Maybe you aren't familiar with Stampers Clubs...

 

A Stampers Club is a group of stampers (5 to 7) who meet in my home once a month.  

They complete 2 to 3 projects each month that can include cards and 3-D items such as mini albums, gift boxes or home décor. 

In turn, each club member purchases $25 to $30 in product of their choice

(amount depends on number of members in the club). 

Once during the cycle of the club, each member is the hostess.

The hostess provides the refreshments and receives FREE hostess benefits (approx $40 value).

 

I currently have openings in two Stampers Clubs.  One meets on the first Friday night of each month from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and the other meets on the second Monday of each month from 10:30 a.m.  to 1:30 p.m.
